Alright, alright, alright…

A few week a friend of Call Loop’s, Justin Brooke, introduced us to the owner of the marketing platform, Nanacast. After two intro messages, a link to the API platform, and about about five minutes later, I had fully integrated Call Loop to my Nanacast account.

So for you Nanacast lovers out there… it’s here. Now you can add voice broadcasting and text messaging into your Nanacast account.

What Does The Integration Let Me Do?

Automated Mobile List Building

So when someone buys your product from your Nanacast account, they’ll automatically be added to your Call Loop list, automatically growing your mobile subscriber and customer base. No more manual importing. No more excel spreadsheets.

Voice Broadcast and Text Message Autoresponders

With Call Loop’s “followups,” you can send an immediate text or voice message as soon as they buy your product or join your list. Then, just like an autoresponder, send another message one day later, 7 days later, and build an entire automated mobile sequence to match your email marketing sequences.

Now you have the full power of automated mobile marketing tied into your Nanacast account. Integrate email marketing, text message marketing, and voice broadcasting into one unified and automated marketing campaign.

Just set it and forget it!

How it works

Step 1: Sign up For Call Loop

This is easy. Just sign up for your FREE Call Loop account and get 50 FREE Credits to get started.

Sign up here

Step 2: Create Your Call Loop List

A list is where we will store your subscribers or customers. For example, as customers purchase your “Nanacast Viral Marketing” product, they will be added to this list.

Create a Title

Check the “Provider” checkbox

Select “Custom”

Click “Submit”

This will create your list and give you a Call Loop custom URL. This UEL is specific for this list and the subscribers you want to add to it. If you have another product, you may want to create another unique list for that product.

Step 3: Login to Nanacast

Login to your Nanacast account

Select Manage –> Products

Select the Notifications/Custom Fields for the product you wish to send your customer data over to with Call Loop

Activate Advanced Outgoing API

Step 3: Paste Your External URL

This is the most important part of the integration and the one part to get right. So here’s the exact steps to follow to get it correct the first time.

Copy Your Call Loop URL
Sample: https://callloop.com/r/?xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Add this to the end that your Call Loop URL
&FirstName={u_firstname}&LastName={u_lastname}&phone={u_phone}&Email={u_email}

Put Them Together and You’ll Get This

https://callloop.com/r/?xxxxxxxxxxxx&FirstName={u_firstname}&LastName={u_lastname}&phone={u_phone}&Email={u_email}

Paste this Entire URL in the External URL Section in Nanacast Account

That’s it! Now your integration is complete and you’ll start to see new customer join your Call Loop list as new purchases are made for your Nanacast products.

Please leave a comment and let us know what you think!

You know how a lot of people walk around wondering about things they did and didn’t do in the past and figure when things suck it might be because they chose the wrong path? That stock tip in 2000 to buy dogtreats.com IPO or maybe when you heard that people are going to one day have phones in their pockets and you looked at them like they just told you they know gnomes… Now they look at you the same way and say, “You don’t gnome me!”

Yeah well this is going to be of the opposite approach. This is the good tip you didn’t get far enough in advance, we still have a lot of good times ahead for this industry. We are going to officially come out and say it…Mobile Has Made It. Yeah I said it Mobile is officially being looked at in ways it hasn’t previously. By this I mean it is made it to Wall Street with a couple companies opening up on the NASDAQ.

Big Freaking Deal Brett

Ok I hear you, but consider one thing: Mobile in the form of something besides being just used as a telephone was changed pretty much as of 2007ish, yes Blackberries had some stuff but really making the mobile world cool was the iPhone and we all know it. From that point on the growth of smart phones has hit exponential proportions.

Once this happened the eyes of business starting looking its way and pumping money into figuring out how they were going to be making the big bucks with it. One of those big bucks ways is going to be in the amount advertising money that will be on mobile platforms. Currently it is about 15% of online advertising but it is expected to rise to 64% of all digital ads by 2015 as stated by Mobile Marketer.

Some of these early companies to go public are not being traded for lots of money, but it shows the potential of what is to come. We are seeing the birth of (in the eyes of a lot of viewpoints): Mobiles Coming Of Age. Mobile is now being considered SERIOULSY and it goes to show that if you as a company are not at least considering how to work this into your own marketing mix, then you will be following behind the competition.

Mobile Now Knows The Secret Handshake

If you are an active trader then these stocks might not make you think a whole lot about putting them into your portfolio, but I think it would be at least wise to keep an eye on them so that you can watch the changes and know who these pioneers are in this industry.

Brett’s Get To The Point

First off I am not qualified to give financial advice, Mc Hammer knows more about how to handle money than I. However I do know how to identify trends and watch for what is on the horizon and this is something of more to come. We are going to see more companies going public and we are only going to see the world in your hand grow in dollars and viewers.

To find out more about the stocks I am speaking about: SmallCap Network.

If you have some interesting info about this subject let me know. I am always curious as to how I can lose my money.

It is that time of the year again, time to over indulge on turkey, drink too much, blame it on someone else and eat leftovers for the next 2 weeks until you never want to see stuffing ever again (side note….stuffing is disgusting, really lets fill a bird carcass with breadcrumbs and think for a second it might be good for you…I’ll pass give me some more pie).

But then again you can’t eat too much because you have to get your tennis shoes on and go hang out like a crazy person in front of Best Buy to save money on stuff you really don’t need.

Isn’t There A Better Way

Why actually there is a better way. One would be to plan ahead and get ready for Cyber Monday and the other is to stay up on discounts and specials from your favorite store through their internal mobile updates.

Using Mobile Updates To Save Money

This day in age my biggest expense is groceries. I used to not give it too much thought, but now I watch the clerk ring up every item so that they make sure they get my discounts. I didn’t buy 2 cans of chicken broth for .59cents because I really love chicken broth.

It seems I can’t go to Publix without spending at least $50. I came here for milk?? How much is this milk, is it from sacred cows or something?? (Rant ending here)

Because of this I decided to become apart of an elite group of shoppers and started studying couponomics and how to utilize the tools of technology to my advantage. I started with The Grocery Game and then also got in on Southern Savers. The whole point of this is to maximize and buy at the right times and not shop without a plan. If you are interested in following me in this pursuit here is a link to a bundle I created for you savy shoppers – click here

All This To Say The Following

I subscribed to every store that has a mobile updating system. I have yet to find a comprehensive list of all these stores, but you can hear about them on the radio and in the newspaper. The purpose of this is to force me to consider this way of saving money. Getting deals sent to me by text messages is a good way for me to remember that I am trying to save money on my shopping and I should be taking advantage of what comes to me.

The fact that it is a text message and not an email or inside an app is better for a couple of reasons. Previously I stated that Google started some sort of algorithm change that decides what makes it to your inbox. I am actually getting quite sick of this as I want to be in control and I miss things because it is not in my main inbox.

For an app it is good to have these apps like GeoQpons and RedPlum, but then again you have to remember and be active with to remember to login and see what is on sale.

Granted I should just learn to do it this way, however having my alerts come as text messages makes me not have to think as much about remembering….which with everything else going on in my life it is one less thing to worry about. ‘

Brett’s Get To The Point Moment

This post was a little different in that it isn’t teaching some new way to utilize this wonderful world of mobile marketing into your own business, this was more for a consumer approach and a way of it being a case study as to see how the other side (consumers of text messages) can best utilize our sms marketing.

If you have some interesting way that you use text messaging for consumer use we would love to hear about it and showcase it here on the site. Leave it in the comments or send us an email through the contact page.

Google analytics has been working on some really cool features for their updates to their system. One of the really cool features is the one that is included in the Visitors tab called Mobile.

Mobile isn’t new to analytics but it is new in this fashion. Previously you could only track what type of operating system your visitors were coming from. This data could be important to know to make sure your site was formatted in the correct way so that visitors had a good user experience. It was also beneficial for helping to know what kind of visitors you had to your website. If it was heavily in one direction, then it might lend itself to developing an app for that platform, be it iOS or Android.

However with the new introduction of Mobile under the visitors tab you will be able to gauge a lot more in depth who your visitor is, what they are doing on your site, how long they are staying and their path through your site.

You will be able to do this through a Mobile Overview Report which will give you a detailed breakdown of the mobile visitors and the non-mobile visitors.

This again is really interesting because you can get a better detailed overview of if your mobile marketing is working correctly and if your audience is actually engaged with your messaging.

Brett’s Get To The Point

Staying on top of this ever changing industry is what is going to give those who adopt and utilize these new features an edge on the competition. This is just one of the interesting ways that you can stay competitive in the mobile arena.

I personally would love to hear about your experience and if you are seeing a good amount of data yet from this new feature. Please leave a comment and share, or ask any question about this subject.

Till next time.

What time is the right time, that is the question. This has long been a question of a lot of people that do email marketing. When is it going to be the best day and how frequently should the drip campaign go out…and at what time????

Well the simple answer is going to be the one that a lot of people don’t like to hear – Test It.

But before you go ahead and decide and leave and mess with our bounce rate and time on site…STOP. We’ll give you some tips that we have seen over time and learned from all of our niches and testing results.

Evaluate Your Niche

This should be a no-brainer. You need to understand the vertical you are in and what and who is your target market. Now if currently you are scratching your head and about to open a marketing dictionary, instead do this.

1. Open your analytics – look at the time and when people are coming to your site. If you have a good long history site, you could look pretty far back and get a good picture of traffic trends to know when people are usually visiting your site.

People will want to know how to do this so here it is

Go To Visits

Visitor Trending

Click Clock Icon On Right

That will tell you when people are visiting.
Now this alone will not tell you the perfect time to send out a SMS Broadcast, but it will give you some data that you can use to help predict this.

The second thing to do is evaluate your opens for your different email campaigns. What time and what days did you have a better open rate? What times had the highest unsubscribes? Get to know this data because this is the closest thing to knowing when people will interact with your messages.

*Granted I know a lot of people might schedule their autoresponders to go out so that it will be there when they open their email.

Now Time To Evaluate

This alone will not give you the exact specifics that you are going to want to get, but this will help steer you in the right direction. From here this is when the whole testing part comes into to play. To maximize your testing, whatever message you are going to send out by SMS messaging, make sure that you have a specific landing page for the visitors. Then once you have this you can start to test the difference in send time to actual visit time.

Then once you have this data in your analytics, here is the kicker where you can determine what is the optimal time that you should be sending your SMS messages.

Go To Visitors

Visitor Trending

Open Time Of Day With The Clock On Right

Then Advanced Segments In Top Right Corner

Compare It With Conversions Of Goals & Mobile Traffic.

This is almost a perfect solution beside the fact that you have to have a sub-account in analytics with its own code for the funnel. I don’t think it is currently a mission of Google analytics to get this part down and so this is the only work around that we have seen so far. But if you are serious about your marketing and want to get to the most ideal and optimized data for your niche – this is your answer.

Brett’s Get To The Point Moment

Getting the data you need to fully optimize your message delivery times isn’t perfect as of yet. But it is coming and will be something that we will eventually make perfect inside of our own platform, helping to further the reasoning that you will need to only use one platform and one platform only – Call Loop.

The team over here at Call Loop just got back from a week in Vegas and are excited by all of the great people and knowledge we were able to take away from the event. If you aren’t on the list to go to this conference it would be well worth it for the next year to get a ticket and go. We met some of the biggest influencers in the Real Estate space and got to have 1 on 1 conversations with the real people making moves behind the scenes.

Mostly we just want to show our gratitude and share some of the excellent info that we learned from this master group of marketers.

First we are extremely thankful to Jeff Adams and his ability to get some of the best speakers in the world to come and share their knowledge with all of us. We learned a lot about the best ways to manage a speaking career and also how to build lists.

Another presenter that we were sure we wanted to hear was Ryan Deiss. We learned so much about the different ways to incorporate lead magnets into a site design. Some seemed simple, while others were awesome little gems that you only get once you have been doing this for a long time like Ryan has been doing. Not to mention, some underground strategies for lead generation, conversion, and driving traffic.

We were lucky to have the chance to have a booth and answer questions about Call Loop and how to use mobile marketing in peoples business. There was a lot of interesting questions and suggestions that we will be implementing into our platform over the next couple months.

It was also a great pleasure to meet the team from Infusionsoft and Geoff Zimpfer. We were extremely impressed by his speech and the power of Infusionsoft and how to best use it in your business. Heck, we’re customers and believe in the power of AUTOMATION. It goes without saying that if you are not using Infusionsoft in your business currently you are leaving a lot of money on the table.

On Saturday night, we had a great dinner at Little Buddha at the Palms, if you go there get the Orange Chicken it was the best Orange Chicken I have ever had. Also had the pleasure of sitting with Jack Bosch. What an interesting story of the way that he discovered his niche in the real estate industry, and what a nice person to be able to spend dinner with.

Overall, this is an event that if you are a speaker or in the real estate niche or in the internet marketing niche, you can’t miss out on it next year. We have been to a lot of events and by far this is at the top of events where presenters pulled back the curtain and let us know the exact ways that things are being done online.

Granted although we were in Vegas we didn’t gamble…well I spent $10. (Chris gambled $40 on Roulette and lost in all in 4 rounds) I got bored with the penny slots pretty fast. Can’t wait to see these guys next year to hear what new ways they are implementing tactics into their businesses.

Again many thanks to all the presenters and to Jeff Adams for letting us be apart of such a wonderful event.

If you are here there is a good chance that you know what a short-code is and what it accomplishes. However, if this is a new concept to you, let me explain it to you first and then we will move into the post.

Sometimes short codes are called CSC’s which stands for Common Short Codes. Short codes are going to be 5 or 6 digits and shorter always than the regular 10 digit phone numbers. It’s the code you see on signs that says “Text LOVE To 45940″. Well, the “45940 is the SHORT CODE.

A long code is basically a phone number like 561-343-8494. Many so-called “text message companies” use these codes as a short cut through the short code process.

Here’s three reasons to use short codes in your mobile marketing…

Reason One – Branding

These can be brandable and help establish trust with your target audience. Sending from a short-code and receiving from a short-code can be used to brand a company with some sort of keyword that describes their company.

These are similar to getting a Vanity license plate. A really neat site I found that highlights a couple of the bigger names is here.

Reason Two – Speed of Delivery

When sending mass SMS messages from a standard phone number, there is a throttling effect that happens with the phone number, this is because these regular phone numbers were never intended to do this type of work.

So if you’re looking to send out 10′s of thousands of text messages, a long code is not the way to go.

Reason Three – Send & Receive

Imagine sending out a thousand or even ten-thousand text messages and receiving all of the reply’s back. There would be no way to respond to all of them. With a short code you can setup a series of autoresponders or auto-replys based on how people reply back with. For example, I can ask via a text message, “Would you like a $10 coupon to Best Buy Reply Yes or No.”

When a user replys “YES” my autoresponder will send a message back to the receipient with the coupon. This is hard to do, with a long code phone number.

With Call Loop we developed our own voice broadcast and text message autoresponders to allow you to create a multi-step marketing campaign using email from your current email platform like Aweber, iContact, MailChimp, or InfusionSoft and voice and text from us at Call Loop.

Starting a mobile marketing campaign is always something that is going to take some diligent action setting it up correctly for success. There are stages to a mobile marketing campaign and you will want to make sure that the recent blog proper message is coming at the right time and with the right message that leads to the best action for the people receiving the message.

The focus of this post is for the people that are holding webinars and how to make their mobile marketing campaign successful.

So lets get started with the first part of the process of getting people into your list for the signup of the webinar.

Step 1 Is Setup The Collection Correctly

We all know that people have their inbox flooded with new messages each and every day, how do we make sure that we are a step above this inbox and that our messages are going to get read? One way is reach people on other channels outside of their inbox. This would include using paid advertising inside of Facebook and then using Twitter to try to increase webinar signups. One of our very good friends is having a significant amounts of success using the power of Facebook to drive people to a landing page that has a signup for a webinar. Now we aren’t going to get into the details of what is involved with targeting and how the landing page should be created. If that is your focus then you could always pay visit to the Product Pros.

But on those signup forms this is where we are going to introduce the first part of a successful mobile marketing campaign. In the signup form use phone numbers as a required field. People will argue that this will decrease kurtlar vadisi pusu 132. bölüm izle signups but all this really does is weeds out the people that were never going to take action regardless. People that are hungry for knowledge and hopefully whatever you are presenting will have no problem with this.

Here is an example of how to present it in your landing pages.

Step 2 Prior To Webinar Send SMS Message

Just like in our previous step we described that email is bombarded with messages and there are filtering processes going on in peoples inbox that you may not be aware of, meaning there is a chance that your reminder to get on the webinar might never reach them at all. Because of this it is best to use SMS messages to reach your attendees prior a day in advance, a couple hours before (this will be hard to test what is the best for time frame), and then 15 minutes prior to the actual webinar beginning.

The first point of contact is to refresh it in their minds, that they have something planned for the next day and need to remember this. The second point of contact is to make sure if they are doing something else, that they need to keep the webinar in mind because they are going to attend this event in just a little bit. Then the third point of contact is to make sure that they have enough time to get in front of their computers and go to the webinar page, get signed in and ready to be in listen mode.

Step 3 Post Webinar Follow Up

Now there are a number of ways that webinars are held but most have a CTA in the end of the event, unless it is a webinar series and has different goals for the listeners. But if it is a standard webinar it is a good idea to have a followup SMS message go out.

If this event is being held at night, you just have to be wary of the time you are sending this message. People will drop from webinars when either they are not interested or it is running so late that they need to go to sleep. So sending an SMS after 10pm EST is going to probably be a no-no. I say 10pm EST because you have no real way of knowing where exactly all your audience is in the US. But basing the fact that it is the latest in the EST first, this is the timezone to be wary about.

I know I know….but that means for the people on the PST it is going to be really early for them. This part I don’t have an answer for yet. The best that we have come up with in the past is to have an auto teleseminar system and cater your advertising in Facebook to people of different geographic locations and have it start at a time that is most ideal for that area of the country.

Step 4 Second Chance Offer

As marketers we all know the highest conversions are going to be at the heat of the moment for most people. However there are those that freeze their credit cards in blocks of ice, so this part is for those people. Then there are others that like to sit around with the idea, but we know the likelihood of these people becoming buyers declines more than the stock market when we hear about a jobs bill.

So what needs to be done here to revive these action squaters is to offer a second chance offer and change the details of the offer slightly. You have to mention something either in the price or what they are getting for the offer that is different than what they had seen previously. How and what you offer is really up to what your business can afford or develop that will still keep it in the green. Something that might work here is giving something that is growing digital dust (previous product launch, etc).

Brett’s Get To The Point Moment

Well if you do all of these steps and are successful you will see how SMS messaging can be drastically influential to your business. The other added benefit is that you will have a mobile list that you can keep in touch with to also build and grow the relationship that you have created. The power of using SMS is amazing and the good part is that this is just one example in many of different industries that can use it in good marketing ways.

Following in the post past, we are going to stick with the theme of Email marketing hanging out with Newspapers smoking cigars talking about the old days of mass reach and conversions and subscriptions. Those days are coming to an end, all of these forms of media are finding difficulty in getting their paydays in the hay-days.

Enter In… The Dude In Shorts…

Yes, this new comer to media outreach and conversions is the young SMS Marketing. So optimistic of the future and the growth of his career. Ready to sit down with Sir e-mail after Newspaper and Radio have gone to sleep because it is past 9pm and Matlock marathon is starting.

After E-mail is tipsy from his tanqueray and tonic, he finally asks the young SMS marketing, “what makes you think you are so much better than us other media’s”?

SMS marketing, takes a sip of his Grey Goose and Redbull and explains, “e-mail I will tell you 4 reasons why I’m better than you, just don’t share this with Newspaper and Radio because they might try to buy Myspace again.”

Here are the 4 Reasons Why SMS Marketing May Be Better Than Email

1. 97% Open Rates Anyone?

average email open rates have been drastically sliding to lower and lower levels. People are so bombarded by email that even Google has implemented filters and special email settings that will prioritize peoples inbox, putting the message that are from people they most open from at the top. Google is using their power of algorithms to determine out open rates per user, what emails are priority and which are mass emails and secondary messages.

Google has for a long time, as has all other email providers, given the ability to filter messages based on preset criteria. Previously it was at a users discretion.

However over the last couple months these open rates and filters have been incorporated to the email system. Leaving Google at the controls, basically controlling which emails get seen and which don’t.

SMS marketing on the other hand is unfiltered and straight to the user. They only way to get any closer is to implant a chip in their heads and deliver the message…who knows maybe one day that might happen.

No other form of communication has been compared to crack (crackberries) and there is actually a bunch of research showing people are addicted to their phones.

….so bottom-line, SMS gets heard. The message gets delivered and viewed.

2. SMS Text Message Marketing is Growing

SMS is having the most growth ever, better than any other media source that has ever been created. Watch the video e-mail on your…uh hum…phone here at the bar and see for yourself.

There is a whole generation that has totally missed the email demographics. They are using email only as a form of signing up for accounts for something they want to get into. They check it for verification and maybe to get that stray email from Grandma that just figured out the internet. But for the rest of their conversations and interactions it is going on in their hands and by their mouths.

3. SMS reaches people when you can’t.

Email is good for times when people are sitting in front of their computers and maybe going in with their phone and checking messages….mostly to clear it out of all the stuff that…you probably send.

SMS is reaching people at times when they aren’t even expecting. My messages vibrate in their pockets asking them to put down the groceries with their right hand and reach over to their left pocket to see what I have to say. SMS is instant and now, my open rates are 97%. Basically meaning if someone has 2 phones I will get to them one way or the other.

4. People can talk back to SMS, what about your e-mail?

Granted they can talk back with STOP, just as they can unsubscribe. But SMS also has the advantage of sending messages with a message coming back to the sender, instantly. Granted email is of course best used to drive open rates to click throughs to a landing page in the hopes that someone does your CTA.

With SMS our CTA is usually a lot less involved. SMS has the advantage of not having to develop great graphics, video sales letters and hosting plans. The message can be swift and drive users to use a coupon that was just created and not needed to be printed. It can also be sent to increase attendance to an event or restaurant while it is still within the same hour.

Basically we can both do the same things here…granted my CTA reaction and conversion time is like NASCAR fast while email…you are more moped trying to go fast enough to not get bit by the street dog.

Ok…

SMS Marketing, realized that he might have offended e-Mail and changed his tune. Granted E-mail there are great ways we can work together as well as there is great ways I can work with Newspaper and Radio. You guys just have to let me into this club and see how we can collaborate.
